Evergreen Line is launching a new regional Kaohsiung-Haiphong Shuttle Service (KHP Service) to enhance its presence in Haiphong, Vietnam. Vietnam is considered as Asia's new powerhouse economy, so this new service through Evergreen's Kaohsiung hub enables fast-growing Vietnam to link with the global markets.

The 580 TEU vessel, DONG DU, is starting on March 21, 2008 from Kaohsiung operating a weekly service with rotation as follows:

"With Vietnam's increasing growth and further potential business activities, our new service is responding to the demands of customers in order to support this emerging market. Evergreen currently has five service centers in Vietnam to provide quality service as Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Hanoi, Da Nang and Qui Nhon."
